Q: Can I use the cleanser and toner with my existing
moisturiser?
A: Yes, If you are happy with you r existing moisturiser.
There is no reason why you cannot simply add the cleanser
and toner to your routine. For best results, we would suggest
you try proto-Col’s moisturising facial gel as these
three products have been specifically designed to work in
perfect harmony.
Q: I suffer from outbreaks of spots, are these products
suitable for me?
A: Yes. Both are natural products suitable for sensitive
skin. The cleanser is an excellent gentle hydrating fluid
that will not irritate broken skin, whilst the alcohol-free
toner will not over-dry blemished skin.
Q: What does the coral in these products do?
A: The coral refers to coral seaweed which is a natural product
harvested from the world’s oceans. Coral seaweed is
an excellent skin softener and will leave the skin super smooth
after continued use. Coral seaweed is rich in amino acids
and contains calcium and magnesium for healthy skin.
Q: Is the toner or cleanser tested on animals?
A: No. On Beauty Ltd (which manufactures the proto-Col product
range) does NOT test products on animals. The cleaner and toner
are both 100% plant based and contain no animal products.

Q: Can the coral & collagen moisturiser be used
as a make-up base?
Yes, the moisturiser is non-comedogenic (won’t clog
pores) and is an ideal skin preparation prior to make-up application.
Q: I suffer from outbreaks of spots. Is this product
suitable for me?
Yes. Collagen has been reported to improve skin condition
ad many people notice a marked improvement when using collagen-based
products. A water-based product such as this, with natural
ingredients will nourish and refine pores.
Q: Does the moisturiser contain a sunscreen?
The moisturiser contains a natural sunscreen in the form
of mineral rich coral seaweed – a skin softener from
the seas of Japan and New Zealand. Completely non-toxic, the
seaweed extract has been found to have infrared filter qualities,
giving a certain amount of natural protection against the
sun’s harmful rays without using chemicals (If you are
exposing your skin to strong sun, we recommend you use a specific
sunscreen lotion of sun block).
Q: Parabens are amongst the ingredients listed. What
are they, and why are they in this gel?
Parabens are preservatives. According to the ICI (UK) and
the FDA (USA), they are the safest approved preservative.
The formulators of our products are currently working on natural
preservatives, but it should be noted that so far, Parabens
have been found to be totally safe, and there is no evidence
to link them with skin allergies of any sort.

Q: Can I use the serum as a make-up base?
The skin firming serum is an excellent moisturising treatment
and some people are happy to apply make-up on top of the treatment.
However, we would advise that a product such as the proto-Col
collagen & coral moisturiser would be a better make-up
base as it is designed for this use, rather than being a specific
anti-ageing skin treatment.
Q: Does the skin firming serum contain any sunscreen?
Yes. The treatment contains a natural built-in sunscreen
to protect your skin. However, it is not a sun block or tanning
cream and should not be used as such.
Q: How often do I need to use the serum?
The serum should be used on a daily basis, and can be used
both in the morning and at night for optimum results. Some
people notice and feel the effects of the serum almost immediately,
reporting a slight tightening sensation. Most people will
notice an improvement in their skin condition within 30 days
when using the serum daily. The amount of skin improvement
will depend upon age, skin type and previous exposure to ageing
factors such as UV rays and wind.
Q: How will my skin feel after application of the
serum?
Your skin should feel softer and smoother and you may notice
a tightening effect as firming properties in the serum activate.
You may also notice a slight golden glow to your skin after
application of the serum.
Q: How can I ensure maximum results from this product?
The silk firming serum has been specifically designed to
work with hand in glove with the rejuvenating facemask system.
To boost your collagen levels further, you can take proto-Col
collagen capsules as a nutritional supplement.
Q: Can the silk serum improve discolouration of the
skin?
Yes. Many users of this product report an evening out of
the skin tone and improvement in areas which may be discoloured.
The product works particularly well on the under eye area,
both in relation to fine lines and discolouration. Regular

Q: Will the mask set and need peeling off?
No. This is a hydrating mask which feeds and lubricates the
delicate facial tissue. It will not set.
Q: What properties does the facemask have?

Q: How often do I need to use the mask?
You can use the mask as often or seldom as you like. Ideally
it has been formulated as a twice weekly treatment, however
many people find that one treatment per week gives great results
improving both their skin tone texture and visible ‘age’.
Q: When I remove the mask I’m left with little
bits on my face.
How should I remove the last traces?
The mask has been designed so that any small traces left
after rinsing with luke-warm water can be rubbed gently into
the skin. The skin will absorb the cream.
Q: Should I apply any cream after the facemask?
You do not need to apply any cream after the facemask. However,
many people like to use the silk firming treatment after the
mask and it has been specially formulated to work in this
capacity hand in glove.
Q: Do I need to recline during the treatment?
No. You can use the mask without taking 10-15 minutes to
recline and put your feet up but we have found that the mask
works most effectively if you do. It also allows you to unwind
and de-stress and will aid circulation to the skin on your
face as the mask gets to work.

Q: Can I use the manicure on my feet?
The manicure has been formulated specifically for the hands
due to the anti-ageing essential oils such as walnut and avocado.
Although it can be used on the feet, we would suggest you
use the instant pedicure which has a slightly less coarse
salt content and specific anti-fungal and anti-perspirant
oils for the feet.
Q: Why do I need to look after my hands?
In contrast to other parts of our body which most of the
time are protected with clothing, hands (and face) are exposed
to the elements: cold, heat, radiation from the sun, moisture,
wind, dust, and pollution.
The effect of this exposure is red, dry chapped skin. If not
counteracted, these first symptoms may further develop into
excessive scaling, rash (eczema) and consequently skin may
show deep cracks that may require medical treatment. Another
unavoidable damaging factor is ageing. Although the aging
process affects the whole body, it is very visible on the
surface skin of the hands. One of the most visible manifestations
of the ageing process is dehydration and dry scaly surface
skin. We think you would be wise to use a top-quality product
such as the instant manicure for all these reasons.
Q: Do I need to use hand cream after the instant
manicure?
Absolutely not. The quality of the essential oils in the
product will moisturise the skin as the scrub exfoliates and
exposes new skin for the oil to penetrate. The instant manicure
will leave you with thoroughly moisturised skin and there
is no need to apply a further moisturiser. Using this natural
product guarantees you will never need hand cream again!
Q: Can I use the instant manicure on other parts
of my body?
The instant manicure has been designed specifically for use
on the hands, although we do have customers who also use it
as a gentle body exfoliant with no problem.
Q: How long does the manicure take to work?
As its name suggests the instant manicure is an instant product
and takes just 60 seconds to exfoliate and moisturise hands.

Q: Can I use the pedicure on my face?
We would not recommend using any Dead Sea salt scrub on your
face as it is too harsh for the delicate skin on the face.
Q: I am a therapist. Can I use this as a calming
treatment?
Yes. The evening primrose oil combines with the other essential
oils to produce a very calming and therapeutic treatment which
is enhanced if the client relaxes and reclines throughout
the treatment.
Q: I have Athlete’s Foot – can I use
the pedicure?
The Tea Tree Oil is a natural anti-fungal agent and so makes
this product perfect for those with mild Athlete’s Foot.
It acts as a preventative to the condition and is perfect
for anyone who does a lot of sport or lives in trainers!
Q: Is the product suitable for people with smelly
feet?
Yes. The Lemongrass acts as a natural antiperspirant so reducing
the smell caused by sweat and bacteria.
Q: How often should I use the treatment?
The instant pedicure can be used daily to keep feet in tip
top condition. Alternatively you can use it as a therapeutic
treat whenever you’ve had a long hard day.
Q: How can we get customers to buy the product as
it’s not practical to give pedicures in our outlet?
The pedicure sells very well off the back of the manicure.
Give customers an instant manicure and when they love it show

No. We would suggest any salt scrub would be too abrasive
for use on the face, as the skin can be very fine in areas.
This product is designed for use on the body only –
from the feet all the way up to the chest and shoulders. This
product is not for use internally.
Q: I am a therapist. Can I use this as a treatment?
Yes. This is an ideal treatment, particularly as a body exfoliant
prior to spray tanning or to work on tan ‘tide-marks’.
Q: How can the body bliss help fight cellulite?
The action of massaging the product into the areas where
fatty tissues are stored helps to break down the fat encouraging
lymphatic drainage. Many studies have shown regular massage

Q. What is Collagen?
Collagen is a natural skeletal protein that represents almost
87% of the total body protein of mammals. It is the major
component of skeletal and connective tissue and provides structural
support. It is found throughout the body - in skin, muscle,
tendon, and bone. Fibres of collagen are woven together like
threads in fabric to form a framework into which new cells
can grow.
Q. Why is it beneficial to counter ageing?
From the Age of 25 it is thought your body loses collagen
at 1.5 % every year (e.g. age 35 loss = 15%, age 45 loss =
30% etc.) therefore this system is designed to stimulate collagen
production and help replace that loss.
Q. What is special about your product?
The products are a unique collagen system and are an alternative
to having collagen and botox injections. The results are progressive,
it works from within and the longer you stay on the products
the better your results will be.
Q. Does it work for skin?
Yes, skin is the largest organ of the body. By supplementing

Q. What source is proto-Col Collagen?
Our Collagen is Bovine Collagen and comes from hide split.
This
is the same collagen as used in injections except that it
is processed differently. As it is from a bovine source it
is not suitable or vegetarians.
Q. I am on medication can I take the capsules?
You should always consult your doctor before starting any
food supplement. Collagen is protein and is in many foodstuffs
ie: egg white, meat, jelly etc, however your body cannot absorb
the collagen from these foods, your stomach would break it
down. proto-Col is in pure powder form and is able to penetrate
the intestinal wall thus being absorbed into the body.
Q. How long will it take before I see results?
Everyone's body is different. Some people see results in
the 1st week – others take a few weeks. It is important
that you stick with the program for at least 3 months to give
